I read the article JOVIMON shared regarding Milwaukee using new Crown Victorias. The first line of the article read "Milwaukee police officer Joe Anderer fondly calls it his corner office, though it's not even carpeted." And it reminded me of the crazy material element to my idea to create the most ridiculous luxury car.
Cars, especially luxury cars, have been doing the old leather/wood/carpet interior forever. When are they finally going to give us true luxury? To hell with carpet. I want to see exotic hardwood and marble tile flooring in the top tier luxury cars. Also, to hell with leather grained everything. Why do dash boards and door panels need to look like leather?
Of course that would be just silly. I'm sure the reason it isn't done has to do with weight, safety, and acoustics... Most people will only ever experience the interior of a Rolls or Bentley through pictures. And it gets hard to distinguish the cheaper materials of a $40k car with the finest materials of a $400k car without actually getting to experience them up close and personal.

I think DARTZ had the right idea with its whale dick leather interior a while ago. Maybe people just want a nice simple interior, so they use the best simple woods, leathers, and metals for the interior. Of course, there are the custom request people who opt for super crazy exotic things like whale penis and zebrawood.

Got Tyvek (?): It's light weight, colorful, and easy to work with; plus it's water and flame resistant.

Studied architecture so yeah I'm familiar enough. I actually have a windbreaker/rain jacket made of Tyvek. It is one of the most ugly things you will ever see though. A local(ish) restaurant sells them in their souvenir shop with their logo all over it.
Second pic is me, doing my best to look Euro-trashy while visiting the Villa Savoye in France.

You do realize that (now) those jackets could easily become a "thing".

Sadly yes. I wanted to sit on the Spanish Steps while dressed like that in hopes of being discovered as a "fashion" star/model. I think I would have better luck amongst the hipsters.

Hipsters; always fishing for something new.

lol I just put the jacket on for old times sake and my dog nearly spun her head around 180 degrees in a sort of "wtf I'm colorblind but I can still tell that is fucking atrocious" kind of look.

Oh yes. North suburbs, about 20 mins from the restaurant.
